PA Federation Calls for Restored Funding to Real Alternatives
The PA Pro-Life Federation is asking supporters to urge lawmakers to restore state funding to Real Alternatives, a pregnancy and parenting support program that has served hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania women.
For nearly 27 years, Real Alternatives administered Pennsylvania's Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services program, providing care and support to more than 350,000 pregnant and parenting women statewide through state funding of roughly $7–8 million a year.
The Shapiro administration ended the state's contract with Real Alternatives effective December 31, 2023. The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation continues to urge supporters to contact their state lawmakers to restore the program's funding.
