Communities we serve

Full and equal dignity, at every ability.

Disabled lives have full and equal dignity. They are not lesser lives. They are not burdens. They are part of every community we serve — contributing, belonging, and loved.

Targeted before birth

In some countries, over 90% of pregnancies with a Down syndrome diagnosis are ended. Prenatal diagnosis has become, in too many places, a search-and-eliminate process. We oppose this, and we defend every preborn life regardless of diagnosis.

The same judgment, at the other end of life

The cultural judgment that some lives are not worth living appears at the beginning of life (prenatal-diagnosis abortion) and at the end of life (Medical Assistance in Dying). Both express the same logic. In jurisdictions where MAID has been legalized, disabled people who were never terminally ill have been offered or pressured toward assisted death — framed as a quality-of-life mercy. Disability rights advocates have been among the strongest voices against MAID expansion for exactly this reason.

How we serve the disabled community

  • Education on disability dignity in parishes, on campuses, and in the community
  • Partnerships with disability advocacy organizations across NEPA
  • Family support and connection to local programs
  • Pushback on prenatal targeting and on quality-of-life judgments that diminish disabled lives

Stand for life. Get involved.

Every life defended started with someone who showed up.
